I Never Dreamed I Could Do This!

When I lost my job six months ago, I could not find any work in my field as a caregiver to the elderly. Online, I found a free course on "affiliate marketing". I printed it out and studied the course for weeks.
Then, I started building a website. It was difficult for me since I was also new to the computer. I got little support, most thought I was wasting my time. Not having a job kept me motivated.

I befriended someone I found on a forum and she helped me through the first few pages until I got the hang of it. I almost quit many times. I am so thankful for Angie!

I now have 117 pages and free traffic from the search engines. I am able to tap into my creative side through this venture. I never imagined I would do something like this, I'm a grandmother for Pete's sake! I actually interact with people around the world; can you imagine?

I love working on the website. It's my baby. The feeling of having my own creation out there for the world to see is an amazing feeling! Sales are slow still, but traffic is increasing so it's just a matter of time for the income to flow. I had to take another job for now; that's okay.

My advice to others would be to stretch yourself and try new things. You will never know what will be a "good fit" for you.
