Powerful Beyond Measure

My favorite quote is this one by Marianne Williamson, a spiritual activist, author, lecturer and founder of The Peace Alliance.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?"

Life is simple really. To be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous, we don't need to be movie stars or models. Everything we do in our lives we should do wholeheartedly, as this is what makes us all of these things.

This is a great inspirational quote for kids too. We recently watched the movie 'Akeelah and the Bee', which is a wonderful example of teaching children to be who they are, especially in their preteen and teen years.
